The 1999 research program from January 29 until March 10, 1999, covered extensive
fieldwork on the western kom, trial pits on the central one, geological core drillings and the
part of the geophysical survey that remained to he completed. 1fFig. 1).

University and the Polish Center of Archaeology of Warsaw University. The investigations were headed by Dr. Marek

Mr. Ahmed Robia Ahmed, Inspector for Mansura district, represented the Supreme Council of Antiquities.
