on the tunic, there lay a partly preserved
big plaited leather cross on a plaited
leather strap (Nd.00166-00167).
The majority of burials discovered this
season, as well as previously, had no

preserved superstructure. The horizontal
arm of a wooden cross (Nd.00102) was
found in association with one of the tombs
(T. 165?), but there is no certainty that it
had once stood on this grave. Earlier on,
