1990 by W. Godlewski, who described the results in a separate report (below, p.

of explorations since 1986; the 1990 season was devoted to restoration and

KOM B
Salvage excavations undertaken in 1988 on a low hill to the north of the urban
agglomeration of Old Dongola, on the southern outskirts of the present village of el-
Ghaddar, revealed the remains of two superimposed churches designated as DC and
