344. Sheraton Carved Mahogany Sewing Table
Attributed to Samuel McIntire Salem, Mass., circa 1800
Rectangular top with canted corners abutting on four half-round pil-
asters carved with a collar of leafage on hammered ground; two
drawers with original mask-and-ring brasses, and pull-out sewing bag
lined in moire; on reeded, tapered, and turned slender legs.

345. Decorated Mahogany Banjo Clock of Willard Type
Boston, Mass., circa 1810
The mahogany case is fronted with painted glass panels, the lower one
with representation of the frigate ‘Constitution’ in action, framed in
gilded moldings; dial surmounted by brass ball finial.
