536. Chippendale Walnut Slant-front Writing Desk
Pennsylvania, XP111 Century
Oblong two-handled desk, the slant front opening to beautifully fitted
interior arranged with a central pedimented cupboard door flanked on
either side by concave shell-carved drawers above pigeonholes and
smaller drawers. Body with one long drawer above two small and two
long drawers, trimmed with willow brasses and bail handles; ogee
bracket feet. Height, 44 inches; width, 38 inches
