B. I. THE WEST COURT (West Square).
In the following section Numbers 4 to 18 inclusive should really be included
in the section B. III., since they are rooms in the earlier houses lying to the East
of the North-West Acropolis Houses, and probably belong to the same system
as the rooms B. III. 8 and 9. The plan, however, which gave their exact position
was only discovered after they had been assigned their numbers and after those
numbers had been inscribed on the special plan. It therefore seemed best to
leave them where they are. They will, however, be found marked not only on
the big plan of the Palace but also on the separate plan of the North-West
Acropolis Houses.
