Large adzes made in Cyprus. Axe with name Kadu, and
adze with name Sa-neit, found together, 1st dynasty. Round
topped adzes, developing in 1st and find dynasties. Large
round top, with name of Sneferu-mer-hezt. Diminution of
round top in Vlth dynasty. Adzes of XVIIIth. 855. Cut-
ting-out knives for cloth; double edged of 1st, single edged,
Xllth to XIXth dynasties. Piercers for leather work.
856. Group of chisel in handle, broken knife, &c., of XVIIIth.
Larger heavy adze or chisel with name of Aohmes I, cere-
monial ? Chisels of Xllth and XVIIIth; masons’ round
chisels, one with name of the elder miner, Ambu ; carpenters’
