HARVARD AFRICAN STUDIES

The above-mentioned vessels are widely different from one another both in form and
in purpose. Indeed each may be said to be a unique example made of well-known ware.
The large bowl is technically related to the large jars, K. W. XVIII (^.v.).1
The K. W. vessels are so distinctive as to ware that it is desirable to give a summary
of their occurrence in the tumuli:

1 A somewhat similar bowl with applied decorations, but with a contracted rim, may be seen in Quibell, El-Kab,
Pl. XV, no. 29, said to be of polished drab ware.
