Total: 10 graves; 2 square N-
-S, 1 square E-W, 6 N-S, and 1
E-W.

The 3 largest graves are on the western side of the SE corner, in group d. There are 2 other large
graves, 1 in group b and 1 in group a. Thus it is hardly possible to distinguish the importance of the
groups by the sizes of the graves. The northern side of the rectangle, often a part containing unimportant
graves, is here entirely lacking.
The two forms, square and oblong, persist in this cemetery. The square graves, 9 in number,
scattered through all 3 groups, range from 1/1 to i/i-i. The oblong graves range from i/i-ii to 1/1 -83,
and the largest graves have the greatest proportions.

4. ORIENTATION OF THE SUBSIDIARY GRAVES
a. Comparison of the Subsidiary Graves as to Orientation
In order to compare correctly the orientation of the graves in the various subsidiary cemeteries it is
necessary to transpose the numbers of graves into percentages, making the total number of graves in
each cemetery equal to 100%. In the table which follows I have reckoned square graves, whether
square N-S or square E-W, as having the same orientation and parallelism as the other graves in their
group or in their section of the group.
