pest control is to implement preventive measures, such as the systematic review of the col-
lection, monitoring, cleaning and when necessary the targeted disinfection. In response
to the unresolved problems of protection of cultural heritage collections from pests the
Integrated Pest Management Working Group (IPM-WG) was established. It brings to-
gether collection curators, conservators, entomologists and other specialists who conduct
research aimed at the protection of the collections and cultural heritage.
