historian, born at Forli in 1388 and died at Rome in 1463. In 1423 he came to
Venice where he occupied important posts. Later he became a secretary to the
Pope. — According to G.K.W. there ar'e additions in the book by Joli. Ant.
Campanus. The printer Oct. Scotus appears to hâve commenced printing in 1479.
After 1484 he was nothing but a publisher.. This copy has in the right corner
waterstains, mostly at the beginning a. end, otherwise it is very well preserved
as it cornes from the famous library of Fürst Dietrichstein at Nikolsburg castle.
On the inside of the frontj cover there is the bookplate of Ferdinand Hoffman
Baron in Grunpuchel. . . made by Gondolach and engr. by L. Kilian. Folio.

ciée, après sa mort trois mille escus, laquelle ce philosophe auoit si chere, qu’il
