CHAR XIX.
Of Mixt and Compound Colours.
I. \A Vrry, It is a wondersul beauti-
ful colour;, compofed of purple
and white : it is made thus. Take Sim-
per lake two ounces 5 white Lead one ounces
grind them together.
II. Aglasi Grey, Mingle Cerufe with
a little Azure.
I I I. A Bay colour, Mingle Vermilion
with a little Spanifh brown and black.
IV. A deep Purple, It is made os Indi-
co, Spanish brown and white.
It is called in Latin PurpureusGreek,
?re?$;L'£e®* srom vopsveg, a kind os siellsijh
that yield a liquour of that colour. I kl
V. An AJJ) colour, or Grey, It is made
by mixing white and lamp black} or
white with Sinaper, Indico and black
ma ke an Ash colour.
It is called in Latin Ca?fius3 and color
