figures in a bed-room ; the principal os whom is a lady, sitting
in an arm-chair, with her head reclining on a pillow, and appa-
rently very seriously indisposed; the source of her malady is
indicated by the position of her hand, which is placed on her
heart; the doctor stands considering her case with great
gravity, and feeling her pulse, whilst an elderly woman is
deeply affected, and in tears.

collection by Mr. Emmerson.
A picture, strongly resembling this, has already been described ;
but, if we consider the disparity between the two pictures in size,
they cannot be the same, unless there has been a gross error in the
admeasurement of one of them ; most probably this is a repetition
of the same subject.
