a house on the right, ascended by a ssight of broad steps, at the
top of which is a woman, with a child in her arms; half-way
down them are two men; and at their base two ladies and two
gentlemen, of whom a poor cripple is asking alms: more
towards the middle are three horses, one of which is in full
gallop near a leaping post; his rider is in the act of giving him
a back-handed cut with a whip ; in front is a boy with a goat;
and beyond the group a garden wall, enclosing a shrubbery.

360. EAbreuvoir Flamand. A hilly Landscape, with a
large picturesque cottage in the middle, and a wide stream of
water in front of it, in which three men (one of whom has a
woman mounted up behind him) are watering their horses; three
fishermen are in the water, pulling along their nets ; and on the
left several other figures : the ground is finely broken, and
beautifully varied with hills, and a few light trees. Engraved
by Moyreau, No. 83, under the above title.

of light trees upon some broken rising ground in the middle,
at the side of which is a hunting party, with a pack of hounds :
