2. View of a Dutch Village during some public Holiday.
On the left is seen a company of persons who appear to have
just quitted the festive board, and embarked in a boat which is
seen leaving the shore, while the jolly host, cap in hand, stands
on the bank, bidding them adieu. Among a number of vil-
lagers on the opposite side is one on horseback drinking off the
stirrup cup. This is a free and masterly production.
