gentleman, similarly habited, sits near him, enjoying his
pipe, which he appears to have just taken from his lips to speak
to a pretty woman, who stands close to him, holding a glass of
wine in her hand ; a dog lies at his feet, and his hat lies on a
chair by him : a neatly-dressed Dutch lady is seen sitting at
needle-work in an adjoining room, which is brightly illumined
by sunshine.
