112. A Negro holding two Horses. A view on the Rhine,
with a city extending along the farther bank of the river,
beyond which rise lofty hills. On the fore-ground are two fine
horses, one of which is a dappled gray, the other a dark brown,
the reins of which are held by a black servant, while their
riders stand behind their steeds in conversation: they are
followed by two large dogs. In a verdant meadow adjoining
the river are three cows. The effect of a fine summer’s
afternoon prevails. A splendid production.
