SUPPLEMENT

TO THE WORKS OF
PETER VAN SLINGELANDT.

1. Portrait of the Pensioner Van Slingelandt, when about
fisty-five years of age. He has an oval countenance and
bushy hair, seen in a front view; and is dressed in a cloak
and a cravat, with white bands. His right hand rests on a
table.
In the Collection of the Baron Verstolk de Soelen.

2. An aged Woman, with spectacles on, seated, reading
in a large book, which lies on her lap. Her dress consists of
a black silk hood, a gown of the same colour, and a brown
apron. A table, covered with a green cloth, on which are
various objects, stands on one side of her, and a cradle is
placed on the other.

3. A Woman scraping Carrots. The interior of a kitchen,
in front of which is a pretty young woman, dressed in a plain
white cap, a crimson gown, a green petticoat, and a white
