of fair complexion, dressed in a white satin gown, seated on
a stool near a table, on which are a variety of objects, playing
on a mandolin. A pet spaniel lies on a cushion by her side.

21. Angelica and Medora. A beautiful female, lightly
clad in a pale blue scarf, which passes over one arm and
round her loins, leaving the rest of her body exposed, seated,
leaning on a bank, looking tenderly at a youth who is on the
farther side of it, with a musical pipe in his hand. A hilly
and richly wooded country forms the background. This ex-
cellent production is dated 1730.
