beard, and mustachios; his dress is composed of black
figured silk, with a mantle of the same colour, bordered with
fur, and a full white ruff; he is seated, with his right arm
resting on the elbow of his chair, and the left on his lap.
The date, 1611, is inserted under the arms of the family in
the background.
