343. A largo number of fragments have been discovered in
the course of excavations at Athens. Casts of these
have been attached, as far as possible to the Metopes,
Of the fragments which could not be so atlached, the
following are the most important.

left hands of both Centaur and Lapith; cf. Michaelis, pi.
