ling the scenery of Switzer-
land in its natural beauty.

that the freer spirit of modern art may
harmoniously permeate an atmosphere
of ancient style.

I may add that the rooms of the
Promotrice have also witnessed the
appearance of the new tempera brillante
of Alfonso Muzii, a painter of the
Abruzzi now settled at Florence, who has
expended much time and trouble over
these colours of his, which may in many
cases be substituted with great advantage
