exhibitor at last year’s Academy is entitled to a
ticket for the series. The possible nature of Sir
William’s concluding address will cause some
speculation among artists. It is perhaps not too
much to assume that he will speak of the present
tendencies of the more advanced schools, and as
the Professor of Painting is never afraid to express
his opinions and is known to have well-defined
views on all questions of art, the Lecture Room at
the Royal Academy is likely to be crowded on the

19th of January. The Professors of Sculpture and
Architecture, Mr. W. R. Colton, A.R.A., and Mr.
R. T. Blomfield, A.R.A., have not yet announced
the subjects of their addresses, which will be
delivered in January, February and March.
