Reproductions in Colour
T
From “The Times,” October 8th, 1912
For some time past Mr. Frederick Hollyer has been experimenting in the
improvement of colour-printing by a development of the three-colour process ;
and there is now on view at his studio, 9 Pembroke Square, Earls Court, a small
collection of colour-prints after pictures, drawings, and photographs.
These colour prints are all artist's work. Care in the choice of the paper goes
a long way towards faithful reproduction ; and then comes the laborious attention
to the hand-printing of each colour. The results are very close to the beauty
and spirit of the originals. . . . Mr. Hollyer seems to have solved the standing
difficulty of all colour-printing, the discovery of a decent yellow.
FREDK. HOLLYER is now prepared to undertake the
reproduction in colour of such originals as can be satisfactorily
rendered by his process; either for private use or
publication.
Further particulars and estimate from F. Hollyer, 9 Pembroke
Square, Kensington, W.
