Nor must one forget M. Szabo and M. Brandt. Among the
designers who have particularly devoted themselves to gardens and
their accessories, we find our great animalier^ M. Gardet, follower of
Barye and Cain, with M. Hippolyte Lefebvre.
With regard to the electric light fittings, M. Bellery-Desfont-
aines has a very fine work now in the keeping of M. Henry
Martin, the painter, and M. Lambert showed at the last Salon
a work of remarkable merit. It was a billiard-room fitting in
copper, with numerous lights, simple, practical and decorative.
