glass windows and mosaics for the Church in
the Central Cemetery, Vienna.
FROGGATT, F. G., Illingworth, Pinner,
Middlesex.
Mr. Froggatt is a designer of wallpaper. An
article by him on Wall and Ceiling Decoration
appeared in The Studio Year Book for 1908.
GASCOYNE, Alexander, 7 Shakespeare
Street, Nottingham.
Mr. Gascoyne is a designer of stained glass—
both ecclesiastical and domestic, — church
decoration, and domestic interiors, and executes
painted panels and glass. The window
“ Isabella,” reproduced in colour opposite, is
characteristic of his work. The background is
in slabs and the figure in antique glass and very
little paint has been used on the flesh and
draperies. The berries have been obtained by
aciding the flash off the glass and leaving the
grey white showing. The tree has been worked
in blue, the berries left, and the remainder
stained to make a good green. The music
room window illustrated on page 53 has been
executed in choice antiques and opalescents,
only the flesh being painted. Amongst Mr.
Gascoyne’s most recent commissions are the
East window at Llancillo Church near Aber-
gavenny ; a three-light window at Arnold

Parish Church, Nottinghamshire; two win-
dows at Emmanuel Church, Nottingham;
a window at St. Ann’s Church, Nottingham;
