metal in relief, mural painting and decoration, work in stained glass includes windows at
Heaton Mersey; Holy Trinity Church,
NewYork; St. Anne’s, Loughborough;
Hagley Church ; Hilton Church ; St.
George’s, Washington, U.S.A.; St.
John’s Church, Windermere (illus-
trated on this page); Essex Church,
the Mall, Notting Hill (where he also
designed a mosaic reredos); and a
memorial window to Edward Colston
at All Saints, Bristol. Other recent
commissions include the enamel
badges presented to their Majesties
King Edward and Oueen Alexandra
by the Peace Congress; a panel in
opus sectile given by Sir Edmund and
Lady Verney to Claydon School; and
a mural painting for St. Michael’s
Church, Minehead. Mr. Holiday’s
best known work in painting is his
“ Dante and Beatrice” in the Walker
Art Gallery, Liverpool.
