The policy which the London County Council is pursuing in regard to the
erection of workmen’s dwellings in this post-war period, shews that it has
been framed with a view to the future as well as the present. An artistic
standard compatible with the times has been set up, and it is being main-
tained in practice by Mr. G. Topham Forrest, the architect. In these days,
