H. R. H. THE DUKE OF YORK,
in acknowledging copies of the first and latest issues of
“ THE STUDIO” YEAR BOOK OF DECORATIVE
ART, has said that he is most interested to know that the
Studio Year Book is celebrating its twentieth year, and
thinks that the aims of the Year Book have been adequately
summed up in the two words “ improved homes.”
He has studied the volumes with the greatest care, and
has noticed how carefully the Year Book records the
progress which has been made in the co-operation between
artists and craftsmen, and how its pages are a very real
encouragement to their efforts.
The Duke of York is very much pleased to wish
continued success to this valuable publication, which he feels
sure is doing a great service in pointing the way to a truer
conception of beauty in the home and more comfort,
better health and greater happiness, which must surely be
closely allied to this ideal.
