Otu oh Canga, Yamuna, Godafevari, Sarasvati,

Naraada, Sindhu, and Kaveri please be in this water.

On uttering this, invoke the tirtha (holy water)

from the region of the sun (Stirya-mandala) with the

pose of goad (ankusa raudra) to be in that

water (in the conch).

In that water perfume (Gandha : sandal wood paste)
shall be sorinkled with the utterance of "Hrdaya
mantra" (formula of deposition on the heart in
the depositions on the limbs), and flower shall be
thrown t with the fsira mantra' (formula of deposition
on the forehead in the assignments on the limbs).
With the sikha mantra (formula for assignment on
the hair lock fn the depositions on the limbs)
is contemplated the extension of luminosity or
energy (teja). The conch is then encircled with the
"Kavaea mantra" (utterance of formula for deposition
on the limbs as relates to assignment on the two umer
arms) (2lf).

23. Anku3a - mudra • The post of the bent index

finger of the right hand, while the thumb of that
finger is actually outstretched and other fingers
are bent fully.

2^. The encirclenent (abagunthana) .This is done by
moving 1he outstretched index finger of left palm
round the conch on the triood.
