371. Stele. Found in the so-called “Barracks”. The stone is used as a corbel
in a Avail which extends west from the northwest corner of the tower. Height from
the wall to the top of the slab 1.07 cm.; width 31 cm. The upper part of the face is
half finished, the lower part is rough. The whole surface is very uneven and was
covered with lichen. Height of letters ό1^—9^ cm.
Μαγαίελος Ιατουρου.
i. e. Magacdel (or, Magadilf (soil) of Yatur.
Μαγαίελος is new in Greek inscriptions. On Ιατουρος see no. 316.
372. Stele. Found in the northeast corner of the cloister of the so-called “Barracks”.
The stone is broken at the lower end. Height 53 cm.; width 29 cm. The face is half
finished. Height of letters 5-7 cm.
Φασ^ελϊ, Ατισανου ετών ).<7.
i. e. Fasaiel, (da/ughter) of'Atisan.
On Φασ^ελη see no. 210. Ατισανης, hitherto unknown in Greek inscriptions, occurs
also in no. 4161.
373. Stele. Found in a house situated east of the so-called “Barracks”. The
stone is in the landing of the stairway at the second story. Height from the wall to
the top of the slab 90 cm.; width 33 cm. The face is well finished. Above the inscription
there is a conventional branch-ornament. The rows of letters are separated by incised
lines. Height of letters, which are deeply cut, 5J/a-8 cm.

The Arabic equivalents of these common names are ’Aud and zAmm.
