413. Stele. Found in a house situated northeast of the so-called “Church of
Numerianus”. Nos. 273 and 427-429 were also found here. The stele is used as a
cross-slab over two corbels. The stone lies face clown; the first line of the inscription
is almost entirely concealed, but the bottoms of the letters can be discerned by looking
between the slab and the corbel. Height of the visible portion 69 cm.; width 32 cm.
The face is well finished. Height of letters cm.
Θαριαρ'/? Χεειλου ετών κε\
i. e. Ta mar, (daztghter) of Kahll.

414. Stele. A broken stele found in the debris in the apse of the “Double
Church”; see Div. II. a. 3, p. 179. No. 263 was found in this same church. Height
35-39 cm.; width 20-26 cm. The face is well finished. Height of letters, which are
shallow and sometimes indistinct, 5—8 cm.
Αγος Ασα<?ο[υ] [ε]τ(ών) Θι'.
i. e. Hag, (son) of Asad or Ascad.
On Αγος see no. 352. ΑσΜος occurs in no. 85 and frequently elsewhere.

415. Stele. Found near the north portal of the “Double Church”, and near
no. 284. Height 71—74 cm.; width 32-37 cm. The face is half finished. Height of
letters, which are deeply cut, 7^-13 cm.
Μορεα Βασσου ετ(ών) β/.
i. e. Mura/Ta, (daughter) of Basszts or Basad (Bas’).
Μορεα is the same as Μορεαθη, which occurs in nos. 294 and 328.
416. Stele. Lying in the arched vestibule which adjoins the “Double Church”.
Height 53—58 cm.; width 37 cm. The face is smooth but covered with lichen. Height
of letters ff-Sf cm.
Μοοαρας Ταιαρου.
i. e. Mughazyir, (son) of Tazyar.
Owing to the condition of the stone the reading of the first name should be con-

sidered as possible rather than certain. On the name see no. 347. Ταιαρος does not
occur elsewhere in Greek inscriptions.
