We know of no other example of either name. But, if Ορασιας Ιτμερου is read, the
second name may be an Arabic name derived from the root damara or tamara, i. e.
(Yfdmir, or (Yftmir or again Itmir might stand for Timirif).
5951- Stele. Found outside the West Gate, about half way between the gate
and the round tower. The stone was lying on the ruins of a tomb about 50 metres
north of the road to Der'a. The right side and the lower part have been broken off.
Height of the fragment 20 cm.; width 33 cm. Height of letters 8—11 cm. Copied
by Magie in 1909.

5954. Fragment. Found in debris about 25 metres southwest of the ruined tomb
where nos. 5951—595s were found. A section of the fragment forms part of a regular
polygon, perhaps an octagon. The block in its present condition shows three sides
and a small portion of a fourth. Maximum height of the fragment 36 cm.; length of
