i. e. ' Ubaid^ (son) of Mukim.

On Οβεάος see no. 82 ; Μοκιμος is a very common name.

643. Stele. Found in the same cemetery. The stone is standing with base
embedded in the ground and faces west. Height above the ground 52 cm.; width
30 cm. The stone is rounded at the top; the rows of letters are separated by incised
lines. Height of letters 5-6 cm. Copied by Butler.
Σοαιφαθη Παλρα ε’τ(ώυ) με'.
i. e. Suwaifatf), (daughter) of Palma.
We know of no other instance of the name Σοαίφαθτ?. It is probably Arabic Suwaifat,
i. e. a diminutive form of the name Sufat.
644. Stele. Found in the same cemetery. The stone is standing with base
embedded in the ground and faces west. Height above the ground 55 cm.; width
28 cm. The face is well finished; the rows of letters are separated by incised lines.

i. e. Iulianus, (son) of Abd-al-Gab.
