VIEW OF THE GRAND SIGNIORS SUMMER PALACE.

This Plate represents the Pavilion, or Summer Palace of the Grand Signior at
Dolma Bachi, on the Thracian Bosphorus, four miles from Constantinople. The
Emperor, with the greater part of his family, removes in the spring to this place,
where he passes the principal part of the sumtner. It has a very picturesque appear-
ance, from the roofs being covered with gilt copper.
