Peogeess of Egyptology.

is attached to a recent article on the papyri of Messrs. M ah a fry and
Grenfell.28

Prof. "Wilcken's promised Corpus of the Ostraka still lingers, though
tantalizing references to it in his other publications continue to multiply.
We may hope to see it in the course of the coming year. Mr. D. G._Hogarth
and Mr. B. P. Gr en fell had a successful season in Egypt, and acquired a
large number of papyri. These will be published by them shortly, and
it would scarcely be fair to describe their nature in advance ; but it may
be safely said that they are of considerable interest to students of papyri,
and of great palaeographical value. A second volume of the Greek
Papyri in the. British Museum, dealing chiefly with the Roman period,
will, I hope, appear in the course of 1897.
