La beauté du métal, qui contient une forte proportion d'ar-
gent, non moins que la prodigieuse variété dos dessins, tous
différents dans chacun des compartiments, font de cet objet un
des plus beaux spécimens de l'art oriental ancien. — Nous
avons, dans la gravure, cherché de préférence à rendre l'inté-
grité des ornements, en faisant bon marché de l'effet réel. —
Grandeur de l'original.

What with the quality of the alloy which contains a large pro-
portion of silvor, and with the prodigious variety of the designs
which differ in each compartmont, this vase is one of tlie finest
spécimens of ancient oriental art. — In ourengraving we hâve
solely aimedatreproducing exactly the ornaments, neglecting the
général eflect. — Full sizo.
