La figure centrale a reçu un plus grand développement que
ses voisines, mais on ne peut dire qu'elle soit pour cela plus
intéressante et caractéristique. Les formes en enroulement y
dominent, et des feuillages on ne peut plus ingénieux décorent
le centre de l'ustensile. Cela suffit au besoin pour attirer les
yeui sur cette crémaillèro du xvie siècle, et permettre de la
classer parmi les beaux objets de cotte nature.

The central figure bas been drawn on a larger seale than
tbe surrounding onos ; not that it is in any way superior nor
more characteristic. The scroU ornament is the main character
of the article, whose central part is, tho more, decorated with
singularly élégant foliage. This is quite enough for calling
one's attention upon this pot-hanger of the xvi'k century and
allowing ono to class it amongst tho fine spécimens of the kind.
