The pattern on the lip consists of
alternate groups of vertical bars and chevrons.

On the lip are alternate latticed triangles and groups of bars. Near the
base are impressed five dots. (Fig. 80, 4.)

As Phylakopi, pi. xxxiii, 6-8. The spout is restored.

Rather deeper shape. Brown clay, no
dark wash. The pattern on the lip consists of
groups of bars, and dots on the edge ; and
the lines which encircle rim and shoulder are
drawn under and over the handle like strings.

Deeper shape, tapering to base. Light brown clay, no slip or wash. On
the lip is a black painted pattern of discs between groups of bars. Near the
base below the handle are impressed two dots.

The handle is partly restored.

Deep shape with blunt shoulder; dark brown
clay. Similar pattern of discs and bars : the white
slip on lip has almost disappeared. On the base a
cross has been lightly traced in the wet clay. (Figs.

This bowl is of the same type as the preceding examples, but deeper and
with steep shoulder, the handle is not pierced and the spout is round, bent out
of the lip instead of sharply grooved as before. Very pale brown clay. Painted
design on lip, as before: simple groups of vertical bars between border lines.
There are two bands on edge of shoulder and one at base.
