accompanied by the apostles but only by a saint standing behind a dark-
-skinned bishop on whose arms he put both of his hands. Although the
inscription fragment with the saint’s name was destroyed, his characteristic
face with a high forehead and copious white beard, a crown on his head as
well as the epithet “a martyr of the cross” allow us to identify him as saint
Peter. The chapel painting is in a worse condition than that in the apse but
