01d-Believer icons. However, the inscription on the reverse (“Of Stroganov
paintings. Exchanged, according to the custom, for 13 silver rubles. Dmitriy
Filimonov prayed”) allows us to assume that the icon was once in the Old-
-Believers’ property.25
Later images of the New Testament Trinity generally follow the same
pattern. On the Resurrection icon, coming possibly from Palekh (ill. 2),26 the
Holy Trinity was depicted in the medallion on the upper framing, above the
