Beloved Angels on the wali of the Department which he has completed in
January 2001 (ill. 1). It represents the artist’s favourite theme - angles. They
are flying quite freely surrounding a lion lying on a cloud - a symbol of
Jaromski’s patron Saint Marcus Evangelist. The painting is composed in soft
colours; silverish gray is predominant with red and yellow pigment appearing
through here and there. It is extremely light and almost transparent and
gives the painting a quality of heavenliness.

The earliest of Jaromski’s works concerned with this subject matter
in the MuseunTs collections are three Blueses for an Angel from the mid
