Not only has the physical shape and some of its previous beauty been
restored, but also the modern history of the object has been successfully
reconstructed. This cartonnage together with four coffins from the old
University collection had formed the basis of the Egyptological collection
in the National Museum in Warsaw, until Prof. Michałowski enriched it
substantially with finds from Edfu, Deir el-Medina and other sites.29
