cured by using fast plates. In pictorial
work, where it is necessary to correctly
render all the range of tones from bright
bits of sunlight to deep shadows, the
plates must have along scale of gradation.
And to secure negatives with quality
suitable for the best enlargements, the
plate must be fine grained.
