i. Sceptre head. Agate and silver. Length 6 inches. Bulb, diameter 25/io inches,

Consists of a central bulb with six longitudinal ridges, which exhibit the exquisite grain of
the stone. Of one piece with the bulb are the two cylindrical projections which are bored
lengthwise to receive the silver rod, portions of which are still visible.
2. Beads and pendants. A collection, strung for convenience. Gold, agate and
carnelian. Length 12 yi inches. From the Vaults at Curium.
Contains four barrel-shaped agate beads with gold caps; two others have flattened barrel
bodies; two are round disks; one is barrel-shaped with plain ends. One pendant is like a vase
with round body, another is amphoroid. The largest pendant is spheroidal with delicate gold
setting.
3. Necklace. Gold and agate. Length 13 inches. Central pendant, length iyi inch.

Consists of alternate gold and agate beads, with pendants of various patterns, five being of
gold, four showing lotus or palmette ornamentation, one phallic. The gold beads are ornamented
with beaded stipple work in triangular patterns.
