7. Ring; Seal. Bronze and carnelian. Diameter 1 inch. Stone about a%2 inch. From
Amathus.

Band thin; expanded to make setting for a yellowish stone, almost circular, engraved with
a centaur with one palm extended, and the other holding two tufted branches over his shoulder.
Long and flowing tail. See Cesnola, Cyprus, page 390: 9.

8. Ring. Gold and green glass. Diameter 2%2 inch. Chaton 34x54 inch. From
Citium.

Plain thin band attached to oval flat chaton; flares outward, and is set transversely to
plane of ring. Erect male figure, right hand above head, left hand at side. Body marked by
cross lines. Late Roman. Obscure inscription.

9. Ring. Seal. Gold and green iridescent paste or glass. Diameter 13/i6 inch. Setting
34x54 inch. From Dali.

Thin gold band joined to ends of oval chaton. Seal is engraved with a large amphora
without handles and with flat base. Surface of seal is cracked. See Cesnola, Cyprus, page
390: 11.

10. Ring. Gold and sard. Diameter 1 inch. From Dali.

Plain band thickened to receive seal. Engraved with erect winged female figure (Neme-
sis): garment to ankles and wreath in hands. See also No. 12 below, and Plate XXXI, Nds. 7
and 9.

11. Ring, with pendent seal. Gold and sard. Diameter 2%2 inch. Chaton 5/£x%6 inch.
From Curium.

Plain ring of gold wire with a pendant scaraboid seal. Edge of chaton is decorated with
cluster and guilloche patterns. The seal exhibits Victory as an erect winged female with wreath
in her hands. See Cesnola, Cyprus, page 380: 4; Plate XXXIX, 4.

12. Ring; Seal. Gold and sard. Diameter 34 inch. Stone 5/gx*^ inch. From Dali
(Idalium).
