8. Seal. Crystal, almost transparent. Diameter 9/ig inch. From Amathus.

Circular, both faces slightly convex. One face plain, the other showing figure of a raven,
standing between two twigs or trees. See Cesnola, Cyprus, page 390: 8.

9. Seal. Scaraboid. Serpentine. Size, 11/iex^ inch. From Curium.

The back is convex. The bottom shows a running antelope, with outspread wings, long
neck and branching antlers. Beneath the wings is an oval object; purport uncertain.

10. Seal. Brown and grey serpentine. Height % inch. Face, i%2Xi inch. From
Aghios Paraskeva.

Almost bell-shaped. Face nearly round. Cut from a stone. Two rudely drawn stars
which may be intended for standing men (?), form the seal, and are enclosed within a circular
line.

11. Engraved stone. Charm. Gray serpentine. Length 1 Vie inch. Width of back, J%2
inch. Length of foot, 19/32 inch. From Curium.

Shows four rectangular faces, with a foot projecting from one of the flatter sides. Each
face is divided into two registers. The sides show indistinct erect human figures ; the face above
the projecting foot has the remnants of a seated figure; the opposite side has a distinct seated
figure with a disk and rays below. The foot is pierced from top to bottom. Purpose not plain.

12. Seal. Gold and clear white chalcedony. Seal: height y% inch; face, 1:1/i6X9/i6 inch.
Ring: long diameter 1 y% inch. From Curium.

Semi-ovoid seal, pierced sidewise to receive split oval gold ring. Seal shows standing,
horned antelope, with head turned backward. Remainder of space is filled with an object that
may be the head of an antelope reversed. See Cesnola, Cyprus, page 369: 7.

13. Seal. Cut in a pebble. Face 3^x54 inch. From Curium.

Nearly conical. Shows a number of small objects; branch on one side, ram's head in
centre, rest indistinct.
