i. Cornucopia Vase. Silver, originally overlaid with gold. Gold, grey and green.
Height 7 inches. Diameter (?) at top, 5 inches. Found at Curium.
The opening at the top may have been circular, or it may have been roughly quadrilateral.
The body tapers gradually to the foot, which is toward the right, and after turning slightly upward
it ends in a rounded and flattened knob.
2. End and neck of two cornucopia vases similar to the foregoing. Length (respectively)
434 and 334 inches. Found at Curium.
3. Patera. Silver. Black and grey tints. Height \l/i inches. Diameter 51/2 inches.
Found at Curium.
The bottom is rounded and curves gently to the lip which reverses the curve and falls away
slightly.
4. Mass of oxidized silver. Grey. Size: 2>V% inches long, 2>l/% inches wide, and 2 inches
high. Found at Curium.
All that is left of a number of silver vessels or ornaments which cannot now be identified
by the layers still visible.
5. Mass of oxidized silver. Grey tints. Size : 6% inches long, 4^ inches wide. Found
at Curium.
The remains of several paterae are visible; piled up when oxidization set in. Interesting
as showing the profusion with which they were used.
