i. Strainer. Bronze. Brown and deep green. Diameter ii3^ inches. Height 2%
inches. Found at Dali in a tomb.

An almost perfect example. The hemispherical strainer at bottom is full of holes, irregu-
larly arranged. The rest of the bottom is divided into two sections by a ridge in relief inside.
The rivets are still visible, by which the handles were originally fastened.

2. Sceptre-Head, set with uncut gems. Bronze. Brown, with greenish shades. Length
6^4 inches; (head) il/2 inch. Diameter, shaft, 1 inch; band, \l/i inch. Found at Curium.

Consists of a hollow cylinder with a triple ridge at one end, and a series of three bull's
heads at the other. The heads are set neck to neck. The eyes are inlaid with blue and red
stones, and there is a larger red stone in the middle of the forehead.

3. Bull's Leg, part of a chair. Bronze. Greenish, iron, purple, grey and red. Length of
hoof 213/i6 inches ; rear of heel to fetlock 2.yA inches. Height of bronze part 4.34 inches. Total
height 8}4 inches. Found at Curium.

One of a pair which constituted the front feet of a chair, other parts of which are shown in
Plate LVI, Nos. 1 and 2. This specimen has part of the original iron inset remaining, badly
oxydized. Markings very deep and decided.
