Plate LV,

i. Mace-head. Bronze. Green and brown. Length y/2 inches. Diameter (knob) 1$/%
inch ; (shaft) 1 inch. Found at Curium.

Consists of knob and shaft, both bored longitudinally for a handle. The knob is in two
parts, resembling a partly opened scallop ; the shaft is fissured by five cracks. Raised band at base
to give strength.

2. Crook (shepherd's or royal). Bronze. Length (total) 4% inches, (hook) 2% inches.
Diameter of spiral 11/2 inch. Found at Curium.

Shaft is hollow, conical; pierced for rivets. Upper part is drawn down thin, bent to a semi-
circular curve, and forms a spiral of one and one-quarter turns. The collection contains another,
imperfect, specimen.

3. Vase and platter, attached. Bronze. Vase: height, 6 inches; diameter, mouth, 4%
inches. Platter: height, il/s inch; diameter, 811/ie inches. Found at Curium.

The platter has a rounding base which curves up to flat rim 3^ mcn wide; part of one side
is broken away. Vase is a truncated cone, with flaring lips.

4. Vase. Bronze. Height, 4^ inches; diameter, base, li/s, inches; top, 4 inches.
Found at Curium.

Generally conical in shape, with thin, flat, flaring lips.

5. Vase. Bronze. Height, 2>lA inches; diameter, base, 1^ inches; top, 2>lA mcnes-
Found at Curium.

Similar to No. 4. Has no bottom. Cracked. Collection contains three examples.
